Disease prevention through vaccination1
Disease prevention through vaccination1
We are an initiative committed to providing clear and accurate information about the importance of adult vaccination, debunking misconceptions and highlighting the real benefits vaccination has on individual and community health.
The Inmunofitness open innovation program is a GSK Gate2Health initiative aimed at finding innovative solutions to optimize vaccination among the eligible population. Beyond being a fundamental public health tool that has saved the lives of 154 million people over the past 50 years, vaccination is our protective shield that not only prevents the onset of diseases but also improves our quality of life and contributes to the sustainability of the healthcare system. 2,3
The lifelong vaccination schedule has meant a paradigm shift in vaccination, with an increasing number of vaccines targeted at adults4,5. It is expected that by 2074, 1 in 3 people in the Spanish population will be over 65 years old6.
Adult vaccination rate remains significantly lower compared to childhood vaccination7,8, constituting a crucial challenge that we must face as a society.
We aim to change the narrative about adult vaccination by promoting its adoption as an essential self-care and prevention practice:
We seek to develop and support innovative technologies and strategies that facilitate access to and administration of vaccines for the adult population.
We establish strategic alliances with healthcare institutions, community organizations, and key stakeholders to enhance the reach and effectiveness of our initiatives.
We work to create a culture of health where vaccination is seen as a vital investment in a long and healthy life.
Our commitment includes promoting a lifelong vaccination schedule 4 as a Public Health guideline that covers both the acquisition of vaccines and the care component in Primary Care, where the vaccination process occurs.
